Dropboard Terms of Service

Effective date: 6 June 2026 Applies to: Dropboard for iOS, version 1.0 and later

These Terms govern your use of Dropboard (“Dropboard,” “the app,” “we,” “us”). By downloading or using Dropboard, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Note: Dropboard is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) also applies to your use of the app. These Terms supplement, and do not replace, that agreement. Where the two conflict on a consumer-protection matter, the term more favorable to you applies.

1. The app

Dropboard is a capture-first notes app that stores your notes on your device and files them into categories you define. You are responsible for the content you create and for keeping your own backups (the Markdown export in Gear → Export exists for this purpose).

2. Your content

You own everything you create in Dropboard. We claim no rights over your notes. Because your notes are stored on your device (and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud account), we have no access to them. See the Privacy Policy for details.

3. Acceptable use

Dropboard is a personal tool. Don’t use it to do anything unlawful, and don’t attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the app except to the extent that applicable law permits. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

4. Free version and Dropboard Pro

5. Our commitment on Pro (“no feature removal”)

If you purchase Dropboard Pro, the features included in Pro at the time of your purchase will remain available to you in current and future versions of the app for that purchase. We will not move a feature you already paid for behind a separate additional charge. New, materially different capabilities we build later may be offered separately, but they will not remove or paywall what your Pro purchase already unlocked.

6. Refunds

Purchases are made through the App Store, so refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies. To request a refund, use Apple’s process at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue App Store refunds directly.

7. Availability and changes

We may update Dropboard to add features, fix bugs, and keep it working with new versions of iOS. We may also discontinue the app or features that are not part of your Pro purchase. We are not liable for data you lose by failing to keep your own export/backup; the Markdown export feature is provided so you always can.

8. Disclaimers

Dropboard is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. You are responsible for maintaining backups of important data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of Dropboard. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law that cannot legally be waived.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date, and reflect the change in the app’s release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
